As the temperature rises sky high, the end of the semester approaches and with it the time of final exams. We, the students of the architecture program, can not wait to wrap up our projects and run out of the door ‘worry free’. It is impossible to contain our excitement! As for me, a graduating student, the end of the final semester represents a marking point in my life. Of course, there is a decision about if and where to move for graduate school, what and if any is the legacy I want to leave behind for future generations of students, and how to find the strength to think about life without the everyday load of school work, exams and projects due, at least for the next few months.

I have decided to move to Los Angeles, and will be joining the team of the Trojans at the University of Southern California. Even though it might seem like LA is too far, in my experience, the entire world has shrunken into a small package and the distances are no longer that great. Indeed, I will stay in touch.

At the last student meeting, we held our annual CSI-S officer elections. I am pleased to announce that the following students will become your team for the upcoming year.

Mr. Mark Wilson            student chapter president

Mr. Colby Mitchell         vice-president industry

Mr. Drake Young           vice-president community

Ms. Hope Martin            secretary

Mr. Fabian Marks          treasurer

I am confident that the newly elected officers will be a great team, eager to work with the CSI professionals, improving current activities and coming up with new ideas for the CSI student affiliate.

It has been a pleasure to be a part of the CSI family and serve as student president. Over the past four years I have become a member of a great organization and found many friends among professionals and students. I want to thank all of you for your support and help, for answering my never ending questions while trying to understand my accent, and for making my professional undergraduate life complete. I feel honored for the opportunity to have been the CSI student representative and had the ability to make decisions prospering the CSI student affiliate. Thank you.
